What to expect on your Wedding Day
Planning and the Big Day!
You will most likely have spent months, if not years planning your big day, so the next step is booking the right photographer to capture all the details and moments that you have worked so hard on!
There are many factors that you will need to think about when you begin to look for someone that you trust with the task of photographing your wedding day.
The first thing to consider is availability as weddings venues are booked far in advance and so too are photographers! Please use my contact page to check with me, I will always endeavour to respond within the same day - often within minutes unless I am photographing someone else's special day, in which case it will be at the end of the day.
Choose a photographer that you feel totally comfortable with because you will be working with them all day and they will have access to every part of your day from getting ready (and dressed!) in the morning, until you are dancing the night away in the evening. Your wedding day will be very emotional and intense at times, so having someone that you feel calm with is always a good place to start. The most amazing images are produced sometimes when you can forget that you are being photographed and just be your natural selves!
I do like to meet my couples for a coffee and a chat to get to know each other and discuss what you would like on the day; you may just wish for images from the Ceremony, or you may want the whole event from Groomsmen getting ready, Bridal preparation, the Ceremony, the Wedding Dinner and Speeches, Cutting the Cake, the First Dance and on into the evening! Please take a look at my Packages & Prices page for more information on what I offer.
Finally, tell your photographer any details that are important to you. Perhaps you are looking for the "Wow" picture of you in your Wedding Dress, maybe you want some Blues Brothers style Groomsmen photos, or there may be a family member that you particularly want extra images of (we all have those people that hide in the background at family events!).
Also, have a good idea in mind of how many group photos you would like, write a list for your photographer, but just bear in mind that too many could eat into your time for images of just the two of you, as there is often not much time before a sit down dinner needs to be served.
You may wish to consider having two photographers for your big day as there is so much to be captured! You can have one taking beautiful portraits of you and your newly wedded spouse while the other photographer captures your guests relaxing into the day. There is more information regarding this on my Packages & Prices Page.
Please feel free to contact me regarding any other queries you may have or if you feel you would like a special package to be arranged for your occasion.
